Robert Palmer On Nightlife TV Show
Nightlife is an American syndicated half-hour late-night talk show hosted by comedian David Brenner (1936-2014) that aired weeknights from September 8, 1986 to June 19, 1987.
Produced by Motown Productions, the show was filmed in New York City and featured a house band led by top session keyboardist Billy Preston (1946-2006).
Robert Palmer guested on the show in the fall. He was interviewed by Brenner and performed the hits Addicted To Love (a US#1 in May 1986) and I Didn't Mean To Turn You On (which would peak at US#2 in November).
The singer was accompanied by his regular backing band featuring Dony Wynn on drums, Eddie Martinez on guitar, Frank Blair on bass, Alan Mansfield on keyboards and Kit McClure on saxophone.
